NASHVILLE, TN – (January 28, 2011) – Word Music Publishing announces the signing of GRAMMY nominated and Dove Award winning songwriter/producer Shaun Shankel. Shankel has written and produced music for some of the biggest selling artists in the Christian and Pop industry, selling over seven million albums and singles to date. In his career, Shankel has garnered 12 No. 1 hits and has had his songs in film, television and commercial campaigns and has been responsible for signing writers and artists such as Ben Glover and Joy Williams. Shankel is currently working on co-writing and producing a new project with new duo, “For King And Country.”

Shankel is a sought after producer and songwriter whose credits include winning the 2006 “Special Event of the Year” Dove Award for his song “Lion” on The Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrack (performed by Rebecca St. James). Throughout his career, Shankel has worked with a line of renowned artists such as 98 Degrees, Michael Bolton, Hilary Duff, Amy Grant, Natalie Grant, Tyler Hilton, The Jonas Brothers and Nick Jonas and Vanessa Williams, to name a few.
